Capturing data at every level of the organization and then reviewing it regularly is the foundation of troubleshooting. Numbers don’t lie. So, the first step is implementing ThriftTrac to capture detailed data at every point in the process – donation receiving, processing, retail, wholesale, and transportation.
The second step is one-on-one coaching with the SMCo Thrift team. Regularly scheduled calls to review the data and pick up the human perspective lead to a defined action plan to address the identified issues.

On-site Review & Ongoing Coaching
While numbers don’t lie, a fully immersive visit of your thrift operation can reveal lots of information in a short amount of time. A SMCo Thrift team member will be on-site over the course of two days to assess current facilities, team composition, and process flow as well as interview key stakeholders to form a starting point for next steps. A full report will be delivered with observations and recommendations to jumpstart the process.
One-on-one coaching with the SMCo Thrift team, through regularly scheduled calls, will follow the delivery of the report and gauge progress on the implementation of recommendations.
